Janay Saxon (Born June 26) is a Afro Portuguese (Brazilian), Afro Dominican and Jamaican Singer-Songwriter. Born in the United States and raised in Connecticut, Janay Saxon has had the opportunity to work under many Grammy Award Winning Producers such as Ryan "Ghost" Bowser, JArmz, The Real Charlamagne Tha God, December Buenos and many more. She has had the opportunity to write songs for Major Artists such as Snoop Dogg and Juelz Santana as well as many Indie Artists. At the age of 9 Janay Saxon started playing the piano and writing/composing lyrical pieces. She says her musical influences are artists such as Spice Girls, Mariah Carey, Amerie, Jasmine Sullivan, Missy Elliot, Sade, Brandy, Roberta Flack, Koko Taylor, and Ciara. Janay is able to play multiple instruments such as the piano, harp, violin, xylophone, Koto, and the bongos. With those skills she is able to write for many genres such as R&B, Hip Hop, Blues, Gospel, Christian Worship, Bachata, Brazilian Funk, Country and Pop.
